Who can participate in the contest? Students from any University listed on the homepage of this website. Art students from other Universities with a Bachelor or Master's degree programme can apply and will be accepted at the discretion of the committee. Each University or Institute designates a Director or Professor to advise their students for a period of six months on the “Imaginary Landscapes” competition. What is the timeline of the contest? The deadline for registering for the "Imaginary Landscapes" Art Competition is 28 February 2010. The deadline for submitting entries to the Competition is 31 October 2010. The results will be announced in December 2010. The prizes will be awarded and the entries first displayed in the “Espace Jules Verne" of the House of Elsewhere, Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, in 2011. How do I apply? Just fill in the registration form [http://imaginary-landscapes.com/index.php/registration]. You will be contacted within a few days. Which media can be used in entries? Painting, Illustration, Info 2d-3d, Photography, Animation/Moving Image, Installation, Comics, New Media. What is the context? Read our Worldwide Visions page [http://imaginary-landscapes.com/index.php/worldwidevisions] to discover our philosophy. Write and submit an article expressing your own views on Imaginary Landscapes. What is the closing date for registration? Applications close on 28 March 2010. What is the submission date? All entries must be submitted by 30 October 2010. Who are the judges? Ideally each participating University or Institute will designate a professor to help judge the Competition. How should entries be submitted? The Imaginary-Landscapes website will provide a FTP for the DIGITAL submission of entries. The files must contain a presentation in English (at most 4000 characters long, including spaces) and at least three high-quality pictures (at least3508 x 4961 pixels at 450 DPI for scans; 10 Megapixels for photographs (ideally 14 Megapixels), in RGB or CMYK) in BMP or PNG format.
What are the prizes? The first prize is 1000 Euros, the second 500 Euros, and the third 300 Euros.
